....Above are pictures taken from our GET2 last August 6, 2009 held at the Makati Sports Club to welcome balikbayan Fr. Manolo "Gus" Villanueva, SVD. Due to the inclement weather only a few hardy souls showed up namely: Chito David, Tony Toledo, Ed LaChica, Ed Lucero, Manny Lipana, Tony Cuerva, Jimmy Benson, Boy Lopez Dee ( with his alalay Francis, also a Bedista ) and myself. Gus was really thrilled to "reconnect" with his old schoolmates here in Manila and to show his appreciation, before the gathering broke up, he offered a short prayer and blessed everyone (general absolution 'daw yun except for Lucero who left early kaya partial indulgence lang siya... hehehe ). Likewise, Tony Toledo took the occasion to celebrate his birthday (last July 13th) and picked up the tab for the evening.... thanks again 'bay for being so galante and always accommodating in making this venue available for our GET2s.
